Our trustees

Lorraine Thompson, Chair

Lorraine has been a member of the Management Committee since 2010.  She became Vice-Chair in 2012, and has been Chair since 2015.  She is also a member of the Finance Sub-Committee. She lives in the borough.

Lorraine has more than 30 years’ experience of working in local and London wide voluntary sector advice services.  She was Director of Services at Threshold Housing Advice until 2012.  She has experience of managing and developing a range of advice services, is the author of housing rights guides and an experienced trainer.

Tony Martin, Vice Chair

Tony has been a member of the Management Committee since 2014. He is Vice-Chair and is Chair of the Operations Sub-Committee. He lives in the borough.

Tony currently works at BPP University as a supervising solicitor in the pro bono centre. He also teaches law in the UK and abroad. Previously Tony was a senior solicitor at South West London Law Centres. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Tony is also a freelance trainer and consultant in housing law, and has provided training and consultancy to the statutory, voluntary and private sectors.

Midge Clark, Treasurer

Midge is a founder member of the Law Centre and has served on the Management Committee since 1979. She is now our Treasurer and leads on the Finance Sub-Committee. She lives in the borough.

Midge has a huge amount of   experience in the advice field. She is currently a specialist welfare rights adviser working with Camden and Islington Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.

Clare Radcliffe

Clare has been a member of the Management Committee since 2016. She is a member of the Fundraising Sub-Committee. She lives in the borough.

Clare works as a lawyer for central government.

Tushar Singh

Tushar became a member of the Management Committee in 2015. He is a member of the Operations Sub-Committee. He lives in the borough.

Tushar is an employment lawyer for a large trade union, and previously worked for the Commission for Racial Equality.

Andy Slaughter

Andy has been a member of the Management Committee since 1992.

Andy is the Member of Parliament for Hammersmith. He is currently a Shadow Justice Minister, serving on the Labour Party’s frontbench. Before being elected to parliament in 2005 Andy was a practising barrister.

Matthew Uberoi

Matthew was appointed to the Management Committee in 2015 and is passionate about serving the community. He lives in the borough.

Matthew works as a consultant to the Financial Services sector and in his spare time assists local councillors with their work within the borough. He has qualifications and experience in business and law.

Guy Vincent

Guy joined the Management Committee in 2015 in his capacity as a Councillor. He is a member of the Finance Sub-Committee. He lives in the borough.

Guy worked in the City for many years as a corporate lawyer and was Managing Partner of two law firms. He is now semi-retired and sits as a non-executive director on the boards of several businesses.
