Membership is a way of supporting the work of Hammersmith and Fulham Law Centre. We welcome members from the local community, who live or work within the borough of Hammersmith & Fulham.
The mission of the Law Centre
The mission of the Centre is to promote social justice through specialist legal support services to advice giving organisations and disadvantaged individuals. The Centre exist to tackle unmet legal needs. The Centre’s principal activity continues to be the provision of specialist legal advice and representation mainly to persons resident and working in the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham.
Membership is FREE. As a member you will be invited to attend our Annual General Meeting, receive a quarterly newsletter and other relevant information, such as fundraising initiatives, volunteering opportunities etc.
Liability of members
The liability of each member is limited to £1, being the amount that each member undertakes to contribute to the assets of the company in the event of its being wound up while he/she is a member or within one year after he/she ceases to be a member, for—
- payment of the company’s debts and liabilities contracted before he ceases to be a
member, - payment of the costs, charges and expenses of winding up, and
- adjustment of the rights of the contributories among themselves
