Tony Martin

Tony is Chair of the Law Centre and has been a member of the Board of Trustees since 2014.
Tony currently works at BPP University as a supervising solicitor in the pro bono centre. He also teaches law in the UK and abroad. Previously Tony was a senior solicitor at South West London Law Centres. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Tony is also a freelance trainer and consultant in housing law, and has provided training and consultancy to the statutory, voluntary and private sectors
Joanna Kennedy

Joanna Kennedy lives in the Borough. She was a litigation solicitor for 30 years after which she ran the Advice Agency Z2K. She is now retired. She has been a member of the Board of Trustees since 2017 and is also a Trustee of Advice ( UK ). Locally, she is a Trustee of QPR Community Trust and is on the Development Board of the Lyric Hammersmith.
Midge Clark

Midge is a founder member of the Law Centre in the late 1970s and currently serves on the Board of Trustees. Formerly Treasurer and she lives in the borough.
Midge has a huge amount of experience in the advice field. She is currently a specialist welfare rights adviser working with Camden and Islington Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. In the early days Midge ran campaigning welfare rights group locally and spent time as a social researcher in the civil service, researching the inadequacy of welfare benefits provided by the DWP.
Guy Vincent

Guy joined the Board of Trustees in 2015 in his capacity as a Councillor. He is a member of the Finance Sub-Committee. He lives in the borough.
Guy worked in the City for many years as a corporate lawyer and was Managing Partner of two law firms. He is now semi-retired and sits as a non-executive director on the boards of several businesses.
Sian Gates, Treasurer

Sian joined the Management Committee in 2019. She is now our Treasurer.
Sian is the Deputy CEO of the Hammersmith & Fulham Foodbank, and as part of her role she manages the finances and grant income for this charity. She has been a chartered accountant for over 20 years, working in practice and also helping charities and smaller companies fulfill their statutory requirements.
Tushar Singh

Tushar became a member of the Management Committee in 2015. He is a member of the Operations Sub-Committee. He lives in the borough.
Tushar is an employment lawyer for a large trade union, and previously worked for the Commission for Racial Equality.
Rebecca Harvey

Rebecca joined the board of trustees in 2019. She has worked within the social welfare advice field for twenty years in areas including housing, debt, and benefits advice. For the past 7 years Rebecca has managed a welfare rights team specialising in benefits and debt advice; challenging DWP decisions to the first tier and upper tier tribunal. Rebecca has experience in designing and delivering training and services. Rebecca was called to the Bar of Lincoln’s Inn in 2016, and is a local H&F councillor and the lead member for Child Refugees.
Karen Tarn

Karen joined the Board of Trustees in 2021. She was born, educated and lives in the Borough.
A care leaver with a Master of Laws in Legal Practice, Karen has lived experience of hardship, childhood homelessness and practical experience of mental ill health.
Karen utilises her social and legal education to complement and enhance the work and values of Hammersmith & Fulham Law Centre.
